Present Continuous
Іноді Present Continuous поводиться як живий стрім у соцмережі — все в ефірі, все в русі, все відбувається прямо зараз. Він не терпить статичності. Йому потрібна дія, момент і трохи драматичності. Якщо щось відбувається у цю секунду, він миттєво займає сцену.
Нижче — головні правила без зайвої інформації, коротко та яскраво.
1. Формула Present Continuous
A) Ствердження
Subject + am/is/are + V-ing

1. Дії, які відбуваються прямо зараз
Тут важливо відчути момент — дія відбувається під час мовлення.
- I am choosing a new ringtone right now.
- She is trying not to laugh while you’re talking.
- They are arguing about which pizza is “the real one.”
- We are waiting for the coffee machine to finally wake up.
- He is scrolling through memes instead of working.
2. Тимчасові ситуації (не назавжди, а на період)
Коли щось триває певний час, але не є постійним.
- I am staying at my sister’s place this week.
- He is using a rental bike until his is repaired.
- We are studying in the library these days — it’s quieter there.
- She is wearing glasses this month because her eyes are tired.
- They are working on a short project together.
3. Майбутні плани (чітко заплановані)
Present Continuous може позначати майбутнє, якщо є конкретний графік або домовленість.
- We are meeting the architect tomorrow.
- I am flying to Warsaw next Thursday.
- She is having dinner with her boss tonight.
- They are moving into their new office next week.
- He is starting a new course on Monday.
4. Зміни, тенденції, розвиток (те, що поступово відбувається)
Тут підкреслюється процес змін.
- The prices are rising again — no surprise.
- Her English is improving really fast.
- The city is becoming greener every year.
- Your cat is getting fluffier this winter.
- The weather is slowly turning into autumn.
Present Continuous — це час дії «в прямому ефірі». Він показує те, що рухається, змінюється, відбувається у момент мовлення. Якщо хочете підкреслити процес — сміливо обирайте його, і ваша англійська звучатиме живо та природно.
